How Important is a Company Name?

NameMike Tumolillo of the Albuquerque Tribune, recently wrote a very interesting . Although his focus was on businesses in the Albuquerque area, the insights can apply to naming a company in general.

I was asked to provide some thoughts on naming a business in several different situations. It's a lengthy and thoughtful article, worth the read.

Fascinating article and very professional (and diplomatic) commentary. We read a lot about big-business names, much less about how neighborhood stores found their identity. All business owners, big or small, can benefit from learning some basic branding and naming principles.
