Find Out What Manitoba's Slogan, Spirited Energy, Means

Check out the official site to learn more about the development of the new Manitoba slogan.

After viewing this site, I would be interested in your opinion of whether or not this effort was worth $600,000.

I can't really find anything on that site that indicates just what "Spirited Energy" is supposed to convey. My edumacated guess is that it's to do with (a) our large output of hydro power and (b) the fact that Manitoba means "Home of the Spirit" (Manitou = "spirit" as in "Gitche Manitou" - Great Spirit).

Not convinced that this revelation was worth $600,000 in taxpayer dollars, though. It almost seems to be more of a high-school contest winner kind of a thing.

Spirited Manitoba... what an utter waste of money.. what a crippled effort. I am sooo embarassed to live here. Typical Advert Industry attempt to "create" an identity. Much like those lame attempts to coin new words to use as a name for a company...gackk... using some nonsense letters because some poor speller might connect them with a different word.. big in the financial sector.. makes me want to throw up. YMMV
