Strategic Name Development Creates TruStone Financial Company Name
MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Strategic Name Development, a brand naming company, recently partnered with Teacher Federal Credit Union of Minnesota (TFCU) to create TruStone Financial, the new company name.
Continuing the legacy of the eight teachers who founded the credit union, the name change signifies the solid foundation of the credit union’s 70-year history of creating a trusted bond with its members through open dialogue, support and education.
The partnership between TFCU and Strategic Name Development emphasized creating a new company name that was strong, stable and innately positive to convey security in an unstable economic climate. Although the name has changed, TruStone maintains its dedication to the teachers that strengthen its continued pursuit of education and discipline. In addition, the name change encompasses the shift from being a credit union just for teachers, to a credit union that teaches.
Remaining firmly rooted as a credit union built around its members, TruStone Financial offers extended educational programs intended to empower and educate its members. By simplifying financial processes, members are able to understand and take control of creating a healthy financial future.

TruStone recently opened a new, 4,200-square-foot, state-of-the-art branch in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Additionally, a new branch location is being designed for the city of Minneapolis and is expected to open during the first half of 2010.
